Naruto steals from Cowboy Bebop

Naruto steals from Cowboy Bebop

About a year ago, I stumbled upon this comparison from another site. It would appear the animation director simply took a scene from the Cowboy Bebop movie, “Knocking on Heaven’s Door” and applied it to an episode of Naruto. If you look at it, it’s blatantly obvious that it’s a copy. The camera angles, the actions, and even the pace of the scenes match so well. You be the judge.

Another explanation would be that both Cowboy Bebop and Naruto copied this from stock sample footage, because this could just not be all be a chance of coincidence.

By the way, let the GIF image to load completely so that it would display more smoothly.

Well, if it’s not a copy, what is it? If you look at the two objectively, you can’t deny that the camera angles are the same, along with the exact same punches that Spike and Neji dish out (not to mention the same reaction from the people on the receiving end).

Also, Cowboy Bebop came out in 1998. This particular Naruto episode came sometime in 2003 or later. The evidence is quite mounting. Although, it may just be a recycle in perhaps by chance it was the same action choreographer.

Long story short, don’t hate on this tidbit just because you don’t like the series. It just reinforces the facts.

woah “mom #1″ you seem pretty juvenile to be a mom…
cool it, if you’re getting heated about a childrens anime then id hate to be part of your family

and, the evidence speaks for itself. CB is an influential anime, the naruto animators have probably watched it atleast a dozen times so pure coincidence is unlikely

    oh yeah, youre a BITCH.

Actually, there was stealing on both parts. Both scenes take entirely from a scene in a Bruce Lee movie. As a matter of fact, you can see A LOT of stuff taken from assorted Bruce Lee movies in Naruto, as well as other animes.

I’ve seen this before too..but I agree that some ppls’ theories about how this happened could be right..I mean you never know? Mr. Kishimoto could have been the greatest Cowboy Bebop fan ever xD haha just considering the choices~
